NJEF
is proud to spotlight Dan Conley of Silicon Garden NJAngels.net
Dan
Conley has provided
all forms of commercial capital to entrepreneurial business
owners since 1986. His craft is to design a win + win
+ win transaction that meets the pricing, structure
and cash flow needs of Entrepreneurs and their Teams.
Dan's
"Radar O'Reilly" type work as Program Coordinator
and Closer for GE Capital's commercial financing acquisition
group gave him an accelerated experience and skills
to originate, construct, and close many millions of
capital for small entrepreneurial businesses, mentored
by George Keith at GE.
Recruited
by the General Partner of a series of investment trusts,
Dan continued acquiring portfolios of deals to vet for
Chancellor's individual investors and later, a syndicate
of forbearance partners, as Dan's due diligence whistle
sounded to fix poor pricing and document practices,
learning firsthand from turnaround artist Steve Morison.
Harvesting
the Silicon Garden
Since 1991, Dan has planted himself in Somerset, on
Cedar Brook and coined "Silicon Garden";
he builds community among investors and entrepreneurs
staging many productive, high-impact meetings.
Business
Owners needing creative solutions to complex financing
projects contact Dan because of his many relationships
with lenders and equity sources for dozens of fundraising
projects in his Plus Leasing portfolio of '91 - '93
and his Funds For Business portfolio projects '94 onward.
In
1988, Dan incorporated and reinstituted a formal Angel
network looking at 365 business plans each year, three
dozen of whom are selected, and one to three are actively
funded during the month's of Dan's fundraising work.
CrossRoads
Venture Fair, Stamford, CT
Dan is the Ambassador from New Jersey and presenter
of the "Best Ignite Award", based on Silicon
Garden NJAngels.net's VenturEvaluation screening criteria.

organizations, and as a deal screener for the event.
Premiere

Four of Dan's clients were featured, including Pharmseq,
a microtransponder chip company whose tiny chimps genetically
sequence biomaterial and can serve as microscopic security
ID tags. They successfully secured angel funding subsequent
